Description

Embark on a 2.5 hour Marine Wildlife adventure through the real wilds of Alaska!  There are no guarantees as to what you’ll see each day (it’s part of the thrill) but here are some of the possibilities: Humpback whales bubble-net feeding or breaching, steller sea lions sunbathing, sea otters cracking crab or floating their babies on their bellies, orcas being their majestic selves and eagles and ocean birds such as puffins and cormorants fishing and nesting. You might also spot brown bear or deer on shore while we cruise past untouched beaches and mossy riverbanks.

All this while surrounded by islets of lush, green old-growth forests, a dramatic (long dormant) volcano, granite peaks with rushing waterfalls and snow-covered mountains. It’s all very scenic and thrilling and our vessel, the Blue Dawg is just the kind of boat you want to be on for such an adventure. Not only is it a solid, Alaskan-built, aluminum, twin-engine, USCG approved, very seaworthy vessel, it’s perfect for wildlife and nature viewing in whatever weather with a comfortable heated cabin, large, fog-proof windows and bow and back decks.
